Women’s Creative Reset Retreat in Bar Harbor, Maine

I have a really fun announcement! Have you been longing for a weekend getaway with a small group of authentic, creative, life-giving women to unplug, relax, reconnect with yourself and nature, and have fun? Maybe even in a beautiful island town on the coast of Maine?

Me too.

That’s why I’m so excited to (finally) announce that this October, I will be co-hosting a 4-day, 3-night Creative Reset Retreat in Bar Harbor, Maine in and around Acadia National Park along with Sara Bumgardner, watercolor artist, outdoor enthusiast, owner of Sara Bumgardner Art, and manager of Bar Harbor’s beautiful Yellow House Inn.

If you’ve been around my little corner of the interwebs for any length of time, you know that Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park is where I first fell in love with hiking back in 2015. It also happens to be where I reconnected with nature and fell in love with Maine’s vacationland culture. It’s also where, after working in campgrounds here for five of the most magical summers of our lives, my family and I decided to end our 7-year-long Airstream excursion and put down roots on a little piece of property with a hiking trail that winds into Acadia.

And this place hasn’t just captured me. The natural beauty of this small island town on the coast of Maine started attracting artists and creatives of all kinds in the 1850s (some say even earlier). Every time I step outside on the trails here, no matter the season, I feel inspired and energized (which you can probably tell from all the photos I post on Instagram tagged with #acadiamagic). Acadia magic is a real thing, always here inspiring people to step into their biggest dreams, resetting and redefining whatever they need to along the way. And I have to tell you, its beauty is especially magical in late summer/early fall.

That’s why we named this retreat “Creative Reset”.

We set the date for October 20-23, and have been working for months now to make sure this will be the perfect opportunity for you to reset whatever you need to, prepare your heart for the season ahead and beyond, and build a daily creative practice to help you pursue whatever’s next on the road to your biggest dreams.

During this 4-day, 3-night retreat, you will have an opportunity to reset, recharge, reconnect with nature, and build your own daily creative practice in the mountains and ocean air of Acadia National Park and the magical town of Bar Harbor, Maine.

We’ll hike, paint, and explore personal growth principles through intimate workshops, time in nature, and short meditation/journaling sessions.

Each day will include an oceanfront sunrise, moments of quiet meditation and reflection, journaling, watercolor art, and wandering through mountain trails, ocean paths, and shop-lined streets to soak up the beauty of Acadia and Bar Harbor. We will enjoy delicious, clean, vegetarian, gluten-free cuisine from a local private chef and certified holistic nutritionist. We’ll soak up all kinds of nature on our shore paths and the mountains of Acadia National Park, relax in an on-site sauna just for us, and finish our days chatting by the firepit.

The workshops will be focused on experiencing your own creative reset by exploring personal growth through journaling and watercolor creation. You’ll learn how to create a daily practice that feeds your soul for years to come. And as far as the art goes, our watercolor workshops will be all about the process of learning and practicing—the focus on mindfulness and activating our own unique creative expression and intuition to build a daily practice. (No art experience necessary.)

Space is limited (single and double occupancy is available for a total of around 14 women) — an intimate small group experience — and I would LOVE to see your beautiful face there (finally in person!!).

Hope to see you in Bar Harbor this October!
